Okay, sorted out (at least for my problem); nothing to do with Mellel and everything to do with Bookends. They have updated their citations formatter (Under 'Bibilo', 'Formats Manager ...') and I needed to amend the 'Citation Options' to Cite by: Author-Date (rather than Cite by: Custom).

I have perhaps a related problem. Also using the live bibliography, and citations were previously appearing normally. But now, instead of seeing for example "(Bridge et al., 2007)", I see only "()". Any ideas as to what is going on?

Hi Janet It does seem to be a problem specific to jpegs created by Illustrator. I have just tested with other jpegs and they seem to export okay.
