Hello, all,
Inserting page numbers after a citation, I seem to have lost the 'p.' or 'pp.' in front of the numbers. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing?
Any help gratefully received.
Best to all,
Chris P.

Re: Inserting citations from Bookends
Thank you, Amontillado! The solution was indeed the Bookends - Preferences suggestion.
Much appreciated.

Inserting citations from Bookends
Hi, everyone. Since installing Mellel 5, I have to appeal once again for help with this. I open up the 'Insert Citation' dialog box with the keystroke CMD+CTRL+Y, so as to input the page number, BUT hitting OK no longer seems to deliver the citation into the Mellel document as it once did. Any advic...

Re: Keystroke for citation insertion Bookends-Mellel
Hi, everyone. I have to appeal once again for help with this thread: the keystroke CMD+CTRL+Y (to open up the Insert Citation dialog box to select various options before sending the reference to Mellel) works, but hitting OK no longer seems to deliver the citation into the Mellel document. Any advic...

Re: A Mellel PDF becomes unintelligible
Most puzzling of all: the problem was solved when they printed the whole thing in colour!
So, almost certainly not a Mellel problem after all, but - actually - no diagnosis as to what it was.
Thanks for contributions.

Re: A Mellel PDF becomes unintelligible
Dear all, Thanks for the various replies. The last thing the publishers told me before the Christmas shutdown was that the printers have identified the problem as being something to do with the imposition process. Apparently this means that we may see some progress in the new year. If I get anything...

Re: A Mellel PDF becomes unintelligible
Thanks, all (esp. Eyal) for the advice. I've sent both 'versions' of PDF to the publishers, whose printers are now telling them their software doesn't recognise the font. It's Palatino Linotype. Any (polite) suggestions as to what I might suggest the publisher advises the printer to do would be welc...

Hi, Janet,
Thanks for the suggestion. But no, I'm not using any special fonts. You may be right about the PC/Mac thing, though.

A Mellel PDF becomes unintelligible
My publisher has found that the PDF I sent them (generated from Mellel) scrambles the text badly in the printing process. Has anyone encountered this problem, and do you know a fix?
And advice gratefully received...

Re: Endnotes
Thanks, Icelander. You have clarified the issue for me: the fact that the endnote area does not permit auto-tiles was the problem, since I had been trying to copy the Bibliography complete with its Auto-Titled heading. So it seems to me that you can never escape the endnote area AFTER it... You have...
Endnotes
Hello, all. My publisher wants me to use endnotes. This was fine until I tried to copy and paste them in between the Appendices and the Bibliography, as they requested. Does anyone know how to do this? Or how to cut and paste, say, a Bibliography into a position after Notes? Or how to insert a sub-h...

Re: Page margins incorrect in print
Hi, Janet, Thanks very much for the reply. I couldn't find the 2 definitions you mention; I only got 'A4' as an option in the list of paper sizes. However, I then dived in to the 'Manage Custom Sizes' dialog and found that the printer did indeed seem to be creating a 0.5 cm border on an A4 page. I t...

Page margins incorrect in print
Hello, all, I'm using the A4 page size and have "100%" set in File/Page Setup. I've set margins using the "Page" palette as required by the publisher (T: 2.5 cm; B: 1.5cm; L&R 2.1 cm). However, the printout has margins consistently about 0.5 cm greater than those sizes. Any s...

Re: A call for tables
My six penn'orth: 1 - Enable Auto-titles within table cells. I put several tables in my thesis to hold images in place, then found I couldn't use the A-Ts to number them sequentially within a chapter. 2 - enable a repeat header for each page function. I have several quite complex tables in my Append...

Image placement
I seem to have inserted an image which insists on having a page all to itself—no page break in sight, but it will not flow on from the text above, and shoves the caption below it on the next page. I also have another image which sits happily enough where I put it, but also forces the caption on to t...
