Thanks. I've reinstalled Calibri on the laptop which seems to have sorted the problem. I'm not sure why just the italic was being substituted with another font.

Thanks for your thoughts. It's a pity about the comments not being imported – I copied each one of about 80 and pasted them into the exported Word doc.

I think the pagination would be fixable somehow.

Is it possible to export a document from Mellel 5.1 to Word .docx and have its comments visible in Word? Another issue is the exported Word document's page numbering is slightly 'out of sync' with the original Mellel. An exported PDF has correct page numbers. Any clues where to look to resolve this?...

Eyal has confirmed that "you can't insert any inlines into a text box" at present.

I want to place web URLs in text boxes. Once the URL is placed in the text box and selected I can't make the link 'live' because Insert > Hyperlink... is greyed out.

Is there a way around this?
