Re: Support for PPC

OK, I am a PPC user and will not be able to spend the money to go Intel for some time; where can I download the latest version of Mellel that will support my system? Can you at least keep that version available? You can always download version 2.9.1 here: http://www.connectnw.com/redlers/mellel291....

Mellel 2.9.1 is here

Just thought I'd let you know:  There are quite a few bug fixes here, for issues (i.e., bugs) that troubled some of you: 1. Fixed issues with the Auto-titles and Notes toolbar pop-ups. 2. Fixed an issue that caused error messages to appear in the Console when typing and deleting text. 3. Fixed...

Re: The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)

First off, thanks very much for sharing the roadmap. It's great to know where Mellel is heading. I recognize you did not give an exhaustive list of improvements, but I was wondering if the Sente integration issue will be addressed. There are currently things BE +mellel can do that Sente can't. Seco...

Re: Advice on Making a Bilingual Booklet

I need to make a bilingual booklet such that both sides of the page have the same content in their respective languages. I think I have the page formatting set up just fine (landscape view). I created two columns on each page – and this would otherwise work just great, but everything just gets push...

Re: Auto-Registration!

How did Mellel do that? My hard drive crashed while on a trip to Mexico. Apple service in Mexico changed the HD for a new one. They said my old HD was completely unreadable. Good service under original warranty. So I'm reinstalling all my downloadable software on a clean OS install on a new HD. I i...

* Mellel reader: a reader and, perhaps later on, also with the ability to add track changes and comments. Again, this is to allow you to collaborate without being forced to switch to other products at the end stage. Ori: The ability to play with others is an area that Mr Mel can stand some more the...

The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)

Good news. Yes, we have been slacking off. The pace of development of Mellel - that is, the number of new releases - have dropped significantly over the last three years. Yes, we are changing that right now. In the past we have been super-conservative when it comes to new releases, and avoided even ...

"More appropriate venue for questions" of what type exactly? There is nothing unreasonable in addressing my question to this forum, which brings together numerous users of both Mellel and Nissus. Choose any software product, and you will find numerous posts entertaining comparisons with c...

Thanks!

Yes... My wish too  We thought we'll manage to get them with the floating image feature, but did not.

I'm afraid overline or a table are still the way to go. We'll try to add this soon.

To add to that: a bug report was filed with Apple. Let's hope they fix the problem with the font soon.

Meltho fonts in Syriac

i to all,  Those of you writing in Syriac under Snow Leopard may have encountered a problem (i.e., OS X refuses to use the Meltho fonts).  After looking into the matter, this is the problem: Snow Leopard, for reasons it keeps to itself, does not recognise fonts with the ".otf" filename end...

Geeza Pro font

Hi to all,  It is possible that some of you, writing in Arabic, may have encountered a problem with Arabic under Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.x).  The problem, in short, is that the Geeza Pro font that comes with Snow Leopard is faulty and causes ligatures to appear as "boxes." This is especial...

Re: Problem with formatting reference symbol

Hi there! I have a problem with the reference symbol: What I want to do : Create a reference symbol of a footnote that isn't superscript (because I find it a bit too small), but that is still a little bit elevated from the main text. What I did so far : I created a character style that looks just t...
