Re: Mellel 4
I've been using Melle for many years. It's so much better than Word, but I have to submit my research using Word with footnotes at page bottom. To get there from Mellel is difficult at best; I almost have to completely redo the footnotes. Looking forward to a direct export to .docx and the new 4.0....

Re: Free updates for life?
Hi I'm perfectly happy with this arrangement, and staying with the non-App Store version shouldn't be a problem. Anyhow, Irradiated Software is offering a workaround for its utility Cinch: purchase it from the App Store (if you wish) and send a proof of purchase and you'll get a refund for the origi...

Re: iPad Version
I'm also interested in using the iPad for working (reading and note taking, mind mapping, writing, preparing and delivering presentations). Some of the basic tools for such a trade are already announced (iWork, some Omni apps like OmniGraffle and OmniGraphSketcher, and DEVONpad and Sente...). I'd lo...

Re: spelling and grammar checker
A word processor like Mellel should be able to spell-check properly in several languages. I personally don't find grammar checking as useful, but I admit it might be of some use. Aside from the fact that Snow Leopard's spell checker doesn't work properly with Mellel, there's a bigger problem. "...

Re: Different Language in one document
That's great news! I knew Mellel could learn that, it had to be that smart.redlers wrote:...it is not that smart yet. It will be, though.
Thanks again.

Re: Different Language in one document
If I understand correctly what Spinozzetti means, the parts of the text in each language should be marked so the spell checker can check them against each dictionary. My problem with the multilingual option is that, AFAIK, it checks if a word is correct in any dictionary it has available (so if a mi...

Re: Wishlist for version 2.6
I'd suggest that item on the list should be made by the users of Mellel, not by the makers of Mellel. And Don's tutorial (http://www.redlers.com/download/tips/me ... inners.pdf) is actually a wonderful guide to start with. What about setting up a wiki so we could do it collaboratively? Of course, s...

Re: We don't need no stinking page numbers!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for not following this thread. i just opened it up and saw my name. The thread's name is somewhat misleading... I certainly need page numbers. My use of Google Docs is pretty basic but effective for me. To get the document into Google Docs: -export as .doc - open in Word - Save in actu...

Re: We don't need no stinking page numbers!!!!!!!!!
I'm no expert on file formats and so on, so maybe I'm speaking out of ignorance. So, my apologies. I believe text documents are more and more part of workflows. Inter-application and inter-personal workflows. In my case (and in that of quite a few users, as one can find out in the forums) I start to...

Hello
Just to put it clear, what I miss is the functionality, not the specific keyboard shortcut. Cmd-opt-Z would could be a good option.

Cmd-Y
As a long time Word user (since 5.1, before that I loved WriteNow) and as someone who is transitioning to a Scrivener–Mellel sort of workflow, there's one thing I miss really from Microsoft software: cmd-Y, the "repeat whatever action" command. Maybe it's just I got used to it, maybe some ...
