Re: export troubles
Actually, the references to sections export fine, it's the references to page numbers that don't work, but I suppose they wouldn't have been correct anyway, due to the change in pagination that happens upon export

Re: export troubles
It seems the cross-references don't export either - not even the page numbers, you just get things like "See p. ?"

export troubles
So, I have to submit my manuscript as RTF or Word. But when I export to either I lose the styles. And the pagination changes. This is a bit of a nightmare, as it is due today, and I've forgotten how to use Word. What am I missing? Well, I suppose it can't be too hard to learn Word.

Re: End of Chapter notes and bibliography
I've just found out that my book manuscript is supposed to be delivered with end notes at the end of every chapter, so I would like to support this feature. I am planning to copy and paste into different files, manually resetting starting page numbers. And deleting replacing automatic cross-referenc...

Re: No response from two support (two tries)
In the past I've received fairly prompt replies, both here and via email, but there does seem to be a slow-down at the moment.

Re: document that opens in 2.9.1 but not later versions
Hi again,
I sent the file to : redlex@redlers.com. Is that right? As I haven't heard back yet, I just want to confirm someone is or will be looking into it.
Thanks,
Andrew

document that opens in 2.9.1 but not later versions
I have a document - a book manuscript! - that will open in 2.9.1 but not later versions of Mellel. I had been away from the project from a couple of months and in the meantime updated Mellel, and when I came back to it, the document consistently crashed the program; it would just hang up. I could op...

Re: Fonts in Table of Contents
I think I solved the problem. I noticed that some of my auto-titles had fonts set within the auto-title dialogue box. That is to say: although the auto-title wouldn't show any font variation when highlighted, it would when double-clicked. So I double-clicked every auto-title dialogue, and reset the ...

Fonts in Table of Contents
I'm having trouble getting my fonts to turn out right in my table of contents. I keep getting bolds appearing where no bolds should be. If I understand correctly - likely not - the fonts in my table of contents should be set by the paragraph and character styles I have used in the "Edit Title F...

Re: bibliography placement
Sorry, I should have said "how to get my bibliography to appear AFTER my notes". If I choose the "end of document" option for note placement, the notes come after the bibliography. I want notes THEN bibliography.

bibliography placement
How to get my bibliography to appear before my notes, as most politics journals expect? (Do any journals ask for notes after bibliography?) I tried to follow the advice here: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1350&hilit=bibliography+endnotes, but it's not working. I put a section ...

Re: paragraph style replaces character style
Character variations! I knew there had to be a simple answer. So manual changes to character appearance get wiped out by changes in paragraph style, since each paragraph style comes with a default character style, but if I use a "character variation", and if the variation is the same in th...

paragraph style replaces character style
I'd like to be able to have text with subscripts in a paragraph, and shift the style of the paragraph back and forth without that wiping out my character styles. Is there any way to vary the order of precedence between styles?

Re: prevent table from breaking across pages
Thanks very much, that works. To get the table not to break, I had to make sure that my table paragraph style not only had "keep lines together" checked with the "all lines in one paragraph" option, I had to also enter 3 or more in the "keep with next ___ lines" option....

prevent table from breaking across pages
How do I prevent a table from breaking across pages? I created a table paragraph style, and checked the keep lines together option with the "all lines in a paragraph" option, but that didn't do it.
Thanks,
