Re: PDF TOC links
And it would be great if the pdf output could (optionally) include a hyperlink between each citation in the text (or in footnotes) and the relevant reference in the bibliography. Also external links: e.g. doi s that lead to the paper online.

Re: Footnotes will be the end of me
Don you are quite right to say: For changing all Roman Bold 14pt there are two ways: (1) One is to use the File menu's "Replace Styles" to change all Roman Bold 14pt text with your Heading 1 text style, or whatever, actually quite a simple thing to do. (2) The other is to use the Find/Repl...

Re: Exporting w/ endnotes intact
Both Mellel's doc export and Mellel's rtf export support both footnotes and endnotes. I think it is likely that the problems here are with Pages and TextEdit. TextEdit does not support foot- or endnotes at all, so if the OP is opening his files in TextEdit (which is the default for rtf and doc files...

Click on the picture to select it (single-click, not double-click). When it is selected it will have a thin blue border. Press backspace or delete.

This email address has been given a few times on this forum: support@redlex.com
Edit: On second thoughts, though, perhaps it should be support@redlers.com
Perhaps try both?

Re: Comments in track changes
I think I said something along these lines to them when beta testing the version which introduced track changes, and I've certainly said it once before now on a thread on the forum that Ori or Eyal contributed to, so presumably read. I don't want to badger them.

Re: Comments in track changes
In the meantime, Mellel should pop up a warning dialogue when incoming comments are discarded. The current behaviour is dangerous and unforgivable – silent loss of data.

Re: Selecting all footnotes (a variant)
What would help massively here would be a) making the Replace Styles dialogue non-modal, or at least stopping it from obscuring the document; and b) having it so that selecting a style in the dialogue also highlighted the instances of that style on the page.

[Following up on my previous post.] rnowell wrote: This would mean that for purposes of page flow, the would need to be a way to prevent orphans. I think Pages will do this. There would also need to be a way to tie text on the left to commentary about it in the righthand columnar stream of text. But...

Re: 2 Separate Columns of Text
Some years ago RedleX gave some strong hints that they were planning to enhance Mellel to the point that it could be a FrameMaker replacement for some users. I wonder if they have dropped this aim. It would be a shame, because, as tungsten's post highlights, there isn't really any software for creat...

What do you mean by 'full citation'? Could you give examples of how you want the full and reduced citations to look?

Re: Space between running header and text
To check: you say that this can be seen in Mellel? Can you tell us the details that trigger it? e.g. typeface, point size, line spacing. (I ask because I can't work out how to reproduce this -- note numbers show up fine in the top line of text on a page for me.) Better yet, could you upload an examp...
