It seems that in order to include an example of the PDF with the problem I need to have a URL to which I can upload a sample. I'll try to find a way to do this, but in the meantime I have a publisher waiting. Let's hope they don't complain at this stage.

Re: Space between running header and text
Yes, it's the printed output that's the problem. I'd be grateful for any tips—publisher waiting.

Space between running header and text
Typically I regulate the space between running headers and the body text by adding empty rows in the header itself. However, I've now noticed that this approach results in the tops of footnote numbers missing in the top row of text when printed.
Any tips?
Thanks.

Re: (Large and) Small OpenType Caps
This is one obstacle I'd love to see overcome. I have used Mellel to publish a number of articles and chapters. Many publishers are delighted when you can produce 'camera-ready' copy, but this problem prevents me from using small caps altogether (which I'd like to do).

Re: Invisible bibliography details in palette
Just follow up; Premodernist is right, the refresh button in the palette makes the refs invisible. He's also right that a restart isn't needed to fix it, just closing and re-opening the document.

Re: Invisible bibliography details in palette
Well, funnily enough, the problem went away after restarting Mellel. I'll keep my eye on it in case I need to file a bug report.

Invisible bibliography details in palette
After one of the recent updates, I've noticed that the bibliographic items that normally appear n the bibliography palette are invisible. They appear in the document OK, but I cannot see them in the palette. I'm using Bookends 11.1.3.
Any ideas?
Many thanks,
Boban.

Re: Continuous Chapter Numbering Across Sections
Thanks for this. Works fine, but I lost the use of the outline once the Parts are changed to Tag auto-titles. Better than before though.
Thanks again!

Continuous Chapter Numbering Across Sections
Dear Mellel Brotherhood, First, I haven't posted in a while because Mellel works so wonderfully and so I've just been writing articles and books. Second, I'd like to organise a book in six parts, but with continuous chapters. Part I Ch. 1 Ch. 2 Part II Ch. 3 Ch. 4 Part III Ch. 5 etc. Can anyone help...

Re: How Can I Download the Old Version?!
Never mind, I just did it with Time Machine.
I look forward to the new update next month when I can afford it.
Well done Redlex!

How Can I Download the Old Version?!
I've just download the new version of Mellel and – presto – they want more money. I can't afford the upgrade this month, but have stacks and stacks of urgent work that I need to be doing right this minute. The new version overwrote my old one. Please, I beg of you, can someone point me to a link to ...

Re: Cross references between two Mellel files
I do prefer the Mellel way of having a single document. When writing books in Word with multiple files and a master document I found it difficult to keep things updated in a straightforward way. The way that Mellel uses page styles (and other things) seems to make the use of a master document redund...
