Re: Feature Request: True multi-lingual spell check.
I made a similar request here:
http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1602
My request is to have the (spell check) language "follow" the keyboard layout.
I whole-heartedly agree that this would be a great benefit to multi-lingual Mellel users.
Thanks!

Link Language to Keyboard Layout
Is there a way to link the language (assigned dictionary) to the Keyboard Layout in Mellel. When I was back in the Windows world (I defected to Mac in 2000), one of the handiest features of (IBM's) Lotus WordPro was that you could have the language "follow" the Keyboard Layout. For example...

Re: A simple reason why grammar-check is needed
Thanks! It helps to know how and where the Finder Actions are stored.

Re: A simple reason why grammar-check is needed
I got lost reading the description - I do not understand the terms. I was able to replicate your Double Word Find Action, and it works great! Thanks! But I find the syntax baffling (so far). I would be delighted for you to post either one - some Find Actions (an xml file?) or the descriptions would ...

Re: A simple reason why grammar-check is needed
Can you post some of your find actions? (Like this double word finder.) I was prompted to look at the Find feature in Mellel because of this discussion, and I have never seen such a powerful (and complex!) Find feature! I'm kind of lost in it. I'll have to read that section of the manual, but it wou...

Re: TIP: Lines above and below paragraph
I was unaware of that limitation. So far I have only used this work-around for short documents (1-5 pages) such as class handouts, etc.
Thanks for the heads-up!

TIP: Lines above and below paragraph
PROBLEM : For titles (of chapters or sections) I sometimes like to use lines above and below the paragraph in order to set off the title visually. But I cannot find this option in Mellel. I know you can set "Underline and Overline" in the Character Appearance, but this is on a character l...

Re: Text direction - up/down
That is a creative work-around!
I'm going to play around with the design of the form and see what options I can come up with for an all horizontal text solution. (Until the Mellel Team is able to add vertical text, that is.)
Thanks,

Text direction - up/down
I can easily change the text direction from R to L and L to R, but I cannot find the settings for Up and Down. I build a lot of forms, and need to use the columns in the tables for vertical headers. Here is an example of what I'd like to do: TextTable.jpg The best approximation I can do in Mellel lo...

Automatic associating of Styles and Auto-Titles
When I create a new Style (Character or Paragraph) or Auto-Title, or rename a Style or Auto-Title, I would like the option for Mellel to automatically check the Styles and Auto-Titles in the Style Set and ask me if I would like to associate all the Styles and Titles that have the same name that as t...

Page Break - Auto Insert
I'm setting up the outline and styles for a book, and I can't figure out how to configure an automatic Page Break before each chapter. I thought I would find this either in the Paragraph Style or the Auto-Title format. What I'd like is that each time I apply a Chapter level Auto-Title, that Mellel w...

Mellel as a Full-Screen Presenter
How to use Mellel as a Full-Screen presenter! (A PowerPoint substitute.) I’m using a letter size page (8.5x11) in landscape mode. The font size is set to 72 points. Enable Mellel’s Full-Screen mode, and use the page-up and page-down keys to control your presentation. This is perfect for the MacBook ...

Re: Cornell Style Alley
You can insert a table and adjust the columns to suit Cornell note taking. I'm attaching a zipped Mellel Template with a Cornell style notes table. If you don't need the "summary section" at the bottom of the page, it will work better, as the table will automatically extend to the next page.
