request: show invisibles in the find and replace dialogue
The title says it all. tabs in the find and replace appear as line breaks, and you can't always tell how many spaces are there. It would be nice if the find and replace dialogue could show all invisible characters

odd character problem
I'm having an odd problem. I have an arrow character through my doc, ➣ . after I updated to Lion, the character turned into a chinese character everywhere BUT ONE place in my document. I can't even copy and paste the character here, because when I paste it, it still looks like the arrow. I've tried ...

Re: The new Nisus Pro contains
I agree.nicka wrote:Yes. I'd really like to know if this is even in the roadmap for Mellel. Much requested, but as far as I know still no comment on this from the Redlers...Nisus's PDF export generates a TOC in the PDF

Syncing Mellel setup between Macs
I haven't found any threads on syncing between two computers. Has anyone synced there Mellel prefs using something like SugarSync?

Re: help with Find and Replace
Figured it out. About the only thing I want to say is that the Mellel Guide isn't particularly helpful for this

help with Find and Replace
I haven't used the find and replace dialogue too much and I'm not even sure if what I want to do is possible. I need to find occurrences of a word that are ALWAYS followed by space and then a digit, and replace JUST the word, not the space and digit. So, Matt 12.1 needs to be replaced with Mt. 12.1 ...

Re: The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)
First off, thanks very much for sharing the roadmap. It's great to know where Mellel is heading. I recognize you did not give an exhaustive list of improvements, but I was wondering if the Sente integration issue will be addressed. There are currently things BE +mellel can do that Sente can't. Secon...

Re: iPad Version
As has been suggested, if all you want is to read your documents on the iPad, then exporting to PDF is your best option. (The hassle of getting third-party documents onto the iPad is another matter all together, though ...) However, if you wish you have Mellel documents more accessible through DEVO...

Re: iPad Version
Yes I realize that, but this is a rather cumbersome solution. I have many mellel Docs on my devonthik databases, which will soon be sitting on my iPad. I doing want to make PDF of every one.

Re: iPad Version
While I don't have strong feelings as to whether Mellel makes it to the iPad, something that would be REALLY good has already been mentioned - being able to at least read Mellel files on the iPad. I'd like to suggest that the Redlers work with the developers of DEVONthink's upcoming iPad/iPhone app,...

keyboard navigation
Can anyone tell me if there is a way via keyboard shortcuts to move from the outline to the main document? And to and from the main document to the footnotes? I know I can get out of the footnotes with the escape, but can I get "into" them with just my keyboard?

Please fix a very minor but irritating bug
I've mentioned this to the developers and on the forum, but will mention it again as I find it so annoying. Basically, Mellel documents "jump" after editing either auto-titles or citations "inline". Try it for yourself: highlight an auto-title or citation, click "enter"...
Re: Sente?
I looked at both BE & Sente back in 2005 while in the process of doing a doctoral degree track and Sente looked good in terms of the GUI, but I went with BookEnds and I continue to use it now . . . . The reason I'm posting this is to emphasize that Jon is very responsive to any issues that may ...

Re: Request to eliminate "Screen jumping" and improve citing pgs
Mellel has an annoying habit of the screen "jumping" as it were whenever you hit "enter" after including the page number in a BE/Sente citation. The same thing happens when editing an auto-title "in-text". I find this really annoying as it requires mouse-work to get ba...
