Re: How-to shorten auto-titles in header

Wow, this is a brilliant solution!

But I wonder, would it be very difficult for the Redlers to implement some sort of short-title solution for headers?

Re: Citation format

Thanks a lot for the comments! %citation is what I do at the moment. This means I have to add the author's name manually. Hehe, incredibly, some things were easier to do with latex! I could bring it up as an issue for future improvements as this has to do with mellel's formatting. :D Lenin (1964), I...

Citation format

Hi,

I was wondering again how one can achieve the Author (year) intext citation in Mellel. (E.g.: ...as Lenin (1964) argues,....). I think I've read something about this before, but I'm writing here because I need a quick answer, so thanks a lot for any help.

Re: mellel beta

A concluding comment to the thread I guess. For a moment I feared that the discussion would go into an entirely different direction than intended - my original question was about the time of the release and that only. As far as the beta process is concerned, I'll start working with the new version a...

Re: We don't need no stinking page numbers!!!!!!!!!

The problem is Textedit, I can confirm similar problems. To expect that TE would do certain things as expected is reasonable, but not all things Apple work as expected.

Re: page orientation - help

Actually, I figured out the negative answer myself

I created a separate document, created the table and saved it as pdf. I'm going to insert it as an image into the main document.

Btw, this is an important limitation of mellel, hope something is done about it in the future

all best,

page orientation - help

Hi could someone please confirm (or hopefully not!) that you cannot change the page orientation in the same mellel document? My problem is a large 6-column, 10-row table with text content that there's no way to arrange other than place it horizontally on the page. Any tips would be hugely appreciate...

Re: Where are cross references / text flow around images?

Nonsense. 1. Mellel rocks 2. Buy something that suits your needs at the time you buy it. 3. Yes, the implementation of these features has taken a bit too long; but: 4. People use mellel for the things it can do already, and it's software that works 5. We want the creators of Mellel to keep it like t...
