Re: Mellel 3.3 Beta
Cannot send bug reports from within Mellel 3.3 (3.3.0b27). I get the error message "(Couldn't send data. (Failed to connect (500))"

Re: Character formatting not kept in Auto-titles (Figures)
Thanks! In the resolution of this issues, could you make sure that OpenType formatting gets preserved as well?
I bought my favorite font, Arno Pro, and it supports proper subscripts via OpenType, so I would like to be able to use them.

Character formatting not kept in Auto-titles (Figures)
I have many subscripts and superscripts in my figure captions, but when I apply the Figure Auto-title, all formatting is lost. (I have a character style associated with the Figure auto-title that includes these formatting features.) I have been inputting the text, unformatted, into the Auto-title, t...

Re: Strange, minor request for Mellel
That said, how can you resist a pilcrow as nice as this one?

Re: Strange, minor request for Mellel
I definitely see your point about these symbols not being in the way. I like how Mellel displays the formatting symbols in an unobtrusive, but discernible light blue. Perhaps make the Mellel formatting symbols sharper/cleaner (higher resolution)? Right now they have that pixelated 1980s look going. ;)

Strange, minor request for Mellel
It would be nice if the option were available to display the pilcrow (paragraph symbol) in the current font in use instead of the (rather unattractive) default one used by Mellel. That is all. EDIT: It seems this is possible in MS Word 2010/2013 for Windows, but it seems that all of my Mac OS X base...

Re: New Forum platform
I agree with tika-tika on the forum subdivisions.
As far as the platform, is vBulletin, etc. worth the cost? I'm not sure.

Re: The state of the Mellel (a road map of sorts)
Bumping this thread. Track changes and comments: this feature is already running (in an Alpha). It was written to play nicely with track-changes features with other word processors (we also intend to add, though I'm not sure if it will be with this release) the ability to export and import track cha...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Cross reference request. As I'm inserting lots of cross references (referring to figure captions in the text), it gets rather tedious. Every time, I have to insert cross reference, choose auto-title, find the figure caption. Ugh. Since Mellel is all about generality, I doubt that the devs will add a...

Re: Where can I set default document variables?
The way that I do it is to set everything up as you like, then save that as a Template. Set this Template as the default (check the "Make Default" box).
Next time you open a new document, everything will be as you set it.

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Title-flow elements should be in a "well" like the tabs are, so the user can just drag and drop them where they desire. Yes this would be great. Long ago one of the Redlers said that they would look into implementing this, I think... I just found a tutorial document (from 2004), and they ...

Re: ToC problem
That's actually exactly what I did. Great minds and all..... It's just that I kinda want to the outline to reflect the actual document structure. No worries really, it gets the job done. I have what is possibly an odd request for Mellel, though. Chapters in the ToC and in the text headings must be n...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Yeah, there are great ideas in Mellel. Most implemented pretty well, but with just a few things missing to make it just right. Being able to replace with what's in the clipboard would be a good alternative as well. You can do this in M$ Word. I think Mellel can keep its generality of design, and imp...
