Re: ToC problem
I still have a problem with the ToC/Auto-titles. I would like just what I said in my original post. The problem is the general structuring of title flows. I want to have two title flows on the same Level. In my example above, ABSTRACT, DEDICATION, TABLE OF CONTENTS, OTHER STUFF should be Level 1, bu...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Thanks! With the addition of the Greedy option to the digit group, the find works; however, the replace doesn't work for a basic reason. As far as I can tell, you can't apply multiple (different) styles in Replace. What style is applied to one, is applied to all. For example, in the case you outline...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
I ALMOST have the Find and Replace w/ subscript figured out. In the find field, do a (Word Boundary)[# OR ##](Word Boundary) search and replace the found entry with subscript-styled text. This finds most all numbers (single and double digit) in chemical formulae. The only thing that would make it pe...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Well, that explains it. Are there any alternatives methods to making my life easier for subscripting many things? I tried Find and Replace, but it doesn't seem possible to replace with text of more than one style. Setting Style Variations of 'Regular' seem to be a bit quicker, as they can be applied...

Re: A few ease of use/feature requests
Yeah, I've figured out how to manually set a keyboard shortcut for sub/superscripts.
Mellel developers, is there any reason why selection of text using the command key is not available? You can even do this in textedit, and it is a very useful feature.

A few ease of use/feature requests
I'm getting more comfortable with Mellel now, and I must say that overall I'm loving it! Here are a few suggestions/requests that might be of interest. No sub/superscript keyboard shortcut by default. I have manually set some shortcuts, but the application of sub/superscript is such ubiquitous need ...

Paragraph/line spacing interplay
The way that Mellel handles line spacing is quite strange. I have found a thread on it, but no actual remedy was suggested. Adjacent paragraphs with different line spacings don't play well together. Apparently, changing the linespacing within a paragraph affects the spacing between that paragraph an...

Re: ToC problem
Ok, I'm just going to have a conversation with myself, and hopefully the content of the discussion will help other people. :p I have figured it out. It came down to a few main points of confusion. 1) The default paragraph style (specifically the tab stops) for Table of Contents is a confusing mess. ...

Re: ToC problem
Ok, I apologize for the quick reply, but I have the question sorted myself. I do not understand ToC paragraph formatting, though (Auto-Title flow for ToC). With all of the little indent tabs, it makes no sense to me. When the ToC is generated, were do all the dots............. come from? I need to a...

ToC problem
I'm writting a dissertation, and the thesis format requires that the table of contents (ToC) includes: ABSTRACT DEDICATION TABLE OF CONTENTS OTHER STUFF CHAPTER 1 subheadings CHAPTER 2 subheading I would like to make a ToC that includes all of these things, unfortunately, the first several titles ar...
