Re: Importing old autotitle formats into Mellel 5.1
I the past, Mellel used to have "Auto-title Setups", these were containers to the entire auto-title configuration: the formats, tag flows, and other settings. This concept of "Auto-title setups" was very similar to a concept of styles but it wasn't quite there and due to historic...

Re: Mellel in Sonoma
Thanks for reporting this. We'll look into it. As a side note, we would prefer if you could avoid posting this type of reports in the forum, passers-by could get the wrong impression about Mellel's reliability. The support form on our site (www.mellel.com/support) is the right place to report such i...

Re: cancel converting text to citations
Unscanned citation objects are ignored by find and replace That is not correct. You can find and replace within temp citations. If your search is defined as "everywhere" then Mellel will go into citations, find and replace. Try this 1. Create a new document. 2. Insert a citation manually ...

Re: cancel converting text to citations
At the moment there is no automatic way to convert citation objects back into text but you can certainly change the citations after the text-to-citations conversion. If you find yourself unable to edit citations inline (while editing the document text) this is likely because you are trying to edit t...

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A shorter route would be to choose File > Import > OPML and choose the opml file.
The issue here is just that for some reason Mellel (or the operating system) is not detecting that the file is opml and so the app interprets it as plain text, showing you the raw OPML source code.

Re: Slow while editing
It seem so me as if the issue here is with the automatic backup or automatic save of the file. Have a look at Mellel > Preferences / Open & Save "Automatic Backup" and if the value is low (like a couple of minutes), try increasing it so that a backup is only saved every 30 minutes or s...

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Looks like Mellel didn't recognize the file as OPML when you re-opened it. Did the file have an "opml" file name extension?

Re: Header edits not showing
I believe this is a bug that we were not able to reproduce so far, we'll investigate but in the meanwhile please try the following as a workaround (and let us know if it worked): Instead of clicking outside the header/footer after editing, try pressing the blue checkmark button below the header, it ...
