Re: Mellel and the Snow Leopard
I believe that Onyx is not yet Snow Leopard compatible (though there was mention of a beta version that would work with it). But based on past updates, you probably won't have to wait long for a compatible version to be released.

Re: Mellel and the Snow Leopard
That's great news, Ori! Now, if Apple would just ship my copy already.

Re: Snow Leopard Compatibility
That's always good news to hear. SL won't ship until this Friday, so hopefully the wait won't be too long for Mellel to work with 10.6.

Re: Wishlist 2008
Ability to add structural tabs to auto-titles. This would be useful to create "chapter-like units" that are not numbered by "current #" the way chapters actually are ordered. Basically what I'm requesting is a way to have Prefaces, Introductions, Acknowledgments, or Epilogues sho...

Re: Auto titles: Introduction and Chapters
Thanks Dylan for your reply and suggestions. For now, I'm going with option 1. I had thought of option 2 as well, but it does not help much with the epilogue, thus option one works fine, though actual sections are not represented consistently in the outline. To my mind, this is something that has to...

Re: Auto titles: Introduction and Chapters
I understand why structural flows are set up hierarchically, but it would be nice to have duplicates for non-numbered equivalents of chapters, such as Prefaces, Introductions, and Conclusions. I fully support this request. Thanks for your support. So, I guess this means there is no workaround apart...

Re: Auto titles: Introduction and Chapters
After playing around more with the auto-titles, is the best work around to add the Chapter numbers manually for chapters (instead of having them automatically numbered the way I have set up now)? Right now I'm using tag flows for the Introduction and Conclusion. I understand why structural flows are...

Auto titles: Introduction and Chapters
For all my chapters, I have auto-titles set up to include the chapter number before the chapter title. I don't want this to be the case for the Introduction, however. But I would like the Introduction to still be part of the outline. What might be the easiest way to do this? Thanks in advance from a...

MacWorld review of Mellel
A nice review of Mellel but rather thin. User comments (if you haven't already) would certainly give a richer picture.

Re: Footnote spacing problem with Word import
Formatting is correct now. I did close and reopen the file to no avail yesterday. But today when going through the chapter, things had evened out.
Loving Mellel.

Footnote spacing problem with Word import
This may be a Word issue. I imported or cut and paste a chapter from Word into Mellel, which is having problems splitting references anywhere to make for even spacing. Apart from re-entering the notes once again, might there be a work around for evening out text/footnote. As it is now, the chapter o...

Dissertation formatting: pagination questions
I'm working on finishing up a dissertation and have some urgent formatting questions. First of all, for the formatting the bottom line of type must be at least 1.5 inches from the bottom of the paper and the footer margin for the page number .75" from the bottom. I understand then that the docu...

Go to Preferences > General to change this. It's at the bottom of the General preferences tab.
