Wouldn’t it be possible to just create to sets of images that you exchange in the .mellel file package before you export to PDF? Just do a batch run once and then you can switch the images back and forth as often as you like…

I think the number of entries in this list is defined system wide, isn’t it? You might want to take a look at a freeware program called TinkerTool that allows you to change the number of entries for recent blablas …
