Re: spelling and grammar checker
While I can understand some of you grammar gurus not wanting some grammar help, not all of us are at that level. I'd love to see Mellel utilize Snow Leopards built in spell and grammar check

Request to eliminate "Screen jumping" and improve citing pgs
I have mentioned this to the developers by email as well as here before, but as they are quite small requests I realize they get lost in the shuffle of bigger features being implemented. Mellel has an annoying habit of the screen "jumping" as it were whenever you hit "enter" afte...

Re: full WYSIWYG bib formatting
In your example of a name error, the name would be changed in BE and a rescan would fix it. There is something fairly similar that already exists with BE if you look in the preferences— you can paste in based on a format. The problem is that BE, not having the ID number, needs validation of all of t...

full WYSIWYG bib formatting
I've banged this drum before but I might as well do it again. Mellel works to have tight(er) integration with both Bookends and Sente. I would really love to see the REMOVAL of the need to scan a document. Instead, footnotes should be formatted instantly when copied from Sente or BE. This would make...

Re: PDF preview in .mellel package
I'd like to bring this thread to the attention of the Redlers again… I'm with kjmatthews in needing a much better integration of mellel documents with DEVONthink, via a pdf preview bundled in each document's package. (I suspect this may be of benefit to other file managers as well?) An implementati...

Request to fix a minor annoyance
I've mentioned this i think by email to the Redlers, but thought I'd bring it up here too. This is a very small issue but quite annoying. To enter in to and edit auto-titles and BE citation areas, I use the keyboard navigation of highlighting the item then hitting enter, making the edit, then hittin...

Re: Zotero integration
I must agree, that is very impressive. Zotero must have some sort of script doing the job in Word for it, as that kind of function is a word processor feature, I think. Both the BE and Sente developers I'm sure want to make their MLA citation style flawless. I'll email them both with this forum post...

Re: Zotero integration
What are the "MLA deal breakers" for Sente and Bookends? I've never used MLA so I'm not familiar with it

Re: Mellel261 and Devonthink20pb3
Mellel doesn't support live links, unfortunately. One thing you can do in the meantime is assign a shortcut key of your choice to the "Open URL" in the Services menu (use the program Service Scrubber to change the shortcut). Then you can highlight the plain text link, hit your shortcut key...

Re: A cross-ref question
I guess my edit wasn't clear enough :D You are right on all counts RP. I didn't understand/know that there was a "ref format" tab. I thought the format had to be described every time I put a new xref in. So, its not a feature request— just a "hey, I just figured this out and its reall...

Re: A cross-ref question
**edit** Didn't see your post Dylan, this is what I was looking for! Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted. I knew there had to be a way to do it, it seemed common sense. I customized the ref format tab in the edit auto-titles window. One thing to keep in mind for those who stumble across this, use ...

A cross-ref question
I am just starting to use crossrefs for the first time and have read through the userguide. I have a question that I haven't been able to solve. My dissertation follows a numbers+title auto-title sequence. (5.1, 5.1.1, 5.1.2, 5.2, etc) When adding an xref, I'd like to refer to the section number (5....

Re: Zotero integration
My main reasons for saying that it is the future is that it is open-source and much more actively developed than other solutions. (I'll admit, I don't know what "robust" means) It also handles major styles MUCH better than either Sente or Bookends (and allows one to switch between them wi...
