Re: Sente in-text citation:How can I get "et al." italicized?

That seems indeed to be the case. I suspect it doesn't work with '"et al." because that's hardly a bibliography entry in Sente (it's a kind of shortcut for the authors/editors). Other items (author, date, title) can be altered in the bibliography and perhaps also in-text refs - I only use...

Re: Sente in-text citation:How can I get "et al." italicized?

I have similar problems and I have contacted the support directly but no answer till now. @verma That means even the settings in the Mellel bibliography preferences only effect the bibliography but not the in-text citation (either text body or footnotes)? That doesn't make any sense. Why can I modi...

Re: Making cross references hurt less

In short - a combination of dropping the required autotitled element into the text as you suggest, with then a automatically opened Edit Reference window that has all default settings for a simple reference, but still allows the user to specify variables, or adapt to a specific environment. I agree...

Re: Sente in-text citation:How can I get "et al." italicized?

Hi I am using Sente as a reference manager for Mellel. How can I make the "et al." in the in-text citation italicized? I am using a modified version of the APA style in Sente and checked the box "italicize et al." in the Sente bibliography settings for in-text citations. However...

Re: Making cross references hurt less

It probably depends on how much info is stored in the Outline view pane: page numbers, I fear, is perhaps a bit trickier. Furthermore, you also lose the capacity to specify the reference format. With my suggestion you don't lose anything—I'm not suggesting that the current mechanism be removed or c...

Re: Making cross references hurt less

The new cross reference feature is phenomenally flexible, cleanly implemented, and (so far) appears bullet-proof. Well done to the Redlers team, and thanks! On the other hand, at least for my most common usage, cross references are more than a little cumbersome to use. I'd like to explain how I mad...

Re: "Document rendering" window refuses to disappear

Every time I try to open a lengthy document, a little "Document rendering" window pops up, which should disappear automatically after the unfolding of the document. But it refuses to go away: it stubbornly remains on the desktop, and the only way to get rid of it, is to close the applicat...

Re: No highlighted word in search bug?

I realize this is a minimal problem in the big scheme of WP things, but I would very much like to keep my gray background, as it is easier on the eyes, and would like, if possible, to have the highlighted text in "Find" changed. Sure, it's possible that others may have the same background...

Re: cross reference "below"

I still can't get the below functionality to work. If I create a new CR on p. 28, connect it to a bookmark that is below it on p. 92 (any of the bookmarks below it, it doesn't matter), and enter "see below, #" in the the conditional page number format, it will only insert the # (that is, ...

Re: QuickLook plugin

Hi guys, Now with the recent arrival of 2.5 I was wondering how the work is going on developing a quicklook plugin? I know this has been discussed extensively already, but I thought I would bring it up again, now we got a new major version. Thanks, K answered here: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopi...

Re: No highlighted word in search bug?

It seems that works for highlighting selected text, but not for text that is highlighted otherwise. The "Find" text in Mellel still highlights in gray, even though the color in Apple Prefs. -> Appearances is orange. Indeed- Mellel's Find command puts it in light gray, when you click on th...

Re: No highlighted word in search bug?

Thank you. I guess there's no way to change the highlighted color? I guess not - it's probably a catch22 situation anyway - use another colour and perhaps another user will have your problem. Of course, one could suggest that they show in a default eye-offending colour that no-one is ever willing t...

Re: Can't save document as pdf

Yes I had all the printers in the dropdown menu. I didn't try preview. But the preview function at Word didn't work though. But now, back at home, it works again. I think it was somehow the fault of the w-lan of the university (with which I was connected through VPN). Even though I didn't try to sh...

Re: No highlighted word in search bug?

Whenever I do a basic search for a word, when the word is found by Mellel, it is not highlighted on the page. Since I'm searching a long document, I have to read through the whole page showing in order to find the word I've searched. Is this a bug? It's hightlighted in my docs. What background colo...

Re: Can't save document as pdf

Hello folks, I just tried to save my document as a pdf via the print menu, but it always says "Print - Failure with printing" while the "Prepare to print" window is in the background. Indeed I don't have printer connected at them moment, as I am in the university, but that shoul...
