Re: Wishlist 2008
This is already possible – did you check the settings in the note section in Style Sets > Edit Style Sets… and in Insert > Note > Edit Note Attributes… ?Boban wrote:I would like to be able to have footnote numbers, with no full stop, followed by a tab.

Re: Headers collapsing after editing - a bug?
I also had this problem in the past but can't remember correctly how I solved it. I think I first saved the paragraph style and then save the page style again. But I really can't remember correctly. Yes, one can probably work around this problem by always defining the header height not via the page...

Re: Headers collapsing after editing - a bug?
Ok, here it is: * open a new document using the “Default A4 size” template (File > Open Template > Default) * change to Mellel view (Window > View > Mellel view) * in the Page palette check “All/Odd header” and set it to 50 pt (or some other value that is visibly greater than what you had before) * ...

Re: Headers collapsing after editing - a bug?
You’re right, of course, that auto-titles are much more versatile. However, the nice thing about the document variables is that I have set them correctly in all my templates (e-mail, name, address, phone numbers, etc.), therefore they are always at hand and easy to change globally. Because of that I...

Headers collapsing after editing - a bug?
Do you also suffer under collapsing headers? An example: I have my header set to 30 pt. When I generate it automatically with the document variable that I have inserted in the page style window everything looks alright. However, when I click into the header in my document and make a single change (d...

Re: Applying *only* Paragraph (not Character) attrs to a passage
Is there a specific reason why you are using different character styles in one paragraph as opposed to only using character variations? (This is just out of personal interest, no offense intended – I have wondered if I might sooner or later be in a position where I would have to do that too. And I p...

Re: Book manuscript: Single File or Separate for Chapters?
the English and the German manual are outdated and use the old naming scheme… Some (long) time ago, the wording changed from “numbering-palette” to “auto-title” and in German from “Nummerierung” to “Gliederung”. Or do you maybe only have an old version of the manual? Maybe you can try to download i...

Re: Book manuscript: Single File or Separate for Chapters?
Two things have to be done here: * under Einfügen > Gliederungselemente > Gliederungsflüsse bearbeiten you have to go to the third tab called Kopf-/Fußzeile. There you can define how the mentions (Gliederungselemente) should look like in your headers or footers. * to insert the mentions into your do...

Re: Keeping pagination and footnote numbering separate?
My comment was about page style breaks, and their effect on page numbering. Page style breaks are often going to be necessary for new chapters, I think, to get the first page of the chapter header-less, for example. Actually, I did all that – I have page style breaks after which the first page is h...

Re: Deutsche Rechtschreibung (reformiert) Version 1.2
I have just noted that the Mellel distribution still contains the old patterns. Reiner (or Ori) – do you have an idea why your patterns are not included? They are, as we all know and appreciate, of a _much_ higher quality than the old one that are included in the most recent Mellel version (2.2.7.2 ...
