Re: bugs and suggestion with indexing and Search
First, please file bug reports directly to us. I try to follow the forum but it possible for me to miss stuff posted here. Regarding index marks at the middle of a word, the real bug here is that this breaks the spelling, I will look into it. It may also be advisable to force putting the index mark ...

Re: Feature request: split view
Split view is complex but it does look like something that is very highly requested. This feature is 100% sure to appear in Mellel, question is when, we'll consider making that soon.

Re: help with black vertical line
An addition to the helpful reply of Amontillado, you can also pause track changes. Click the pause button in the track changes bar and changes you make will not be tracked. So if you wish to insert a TOC without having to accept or reject all changes (as you would if you turned off track changes) yo...

Re: More colors for "Highlight notes on screen"
Implementing this is not very difficult. I've added this to the list of features to consider. I think allowing to set the color for footnote/endnote highlights should be grouped along with other hi-lighting colors like citations, auto-titles, formulas etc. This option should probably also be integra...

Re: Indexing based on a word-list
Thanks for elaborating on this.
Regarding export, note that if you export to docx, index marks are exported into msword index fields ({ XE "Samarcande" })

Re: Indexing based on a word-list
There is no way to create an index based on a word list. We plan to add that feature soon.
While on the subject, what kind of export options regarding index would you like to see? (everybody is invited to comment)

Re: The phpBB forum software and screenshots (to Eyal !)
I think the main reason for that is that it fills up the storage very quickly. I'll have a look at this and see what can be done.

Re: Resizing vs. cropping, what happened?
In Mellel you have two fitting modes for images, "scale to fit" - the image is scaled to fit the frame, or "float in frame", the image is displayed in its original size and the frame controls how much of it is displayed (you might call it "crop"). At any rate, you can s...

Re: New Video: Configuring Auto-titles
Yes, If you have multiple style sets with same name styles inside, they should map and allow you to swap appearances at a flick of a switch. One thing to remember, make sure you have "match style by name" in the sheet that pops up when you apply a style set. Globalizing is done like that. ...
