Excellent news, Ori! I made the switch to Mr. Mel in the middle of my dissertation and never looked back; the only real drawback was not being able to track changes and having to export files to be compatible with M$ W*ord.

I use both Columbia and UC libraries frequently for searches in the Humanities. In addition to abstracts, Columbia often provides chapter titles as well (though this appears to be related to publisher and date of publication).

For me, it's a comments feature, which I've been told is in the offing. But I'm still very happy using Mellel for more personal writing projects and Pages to exchange documents with M$ Word users. Not sure if I'll ever upgrade Office again, especially if other applications are sufficiently compatibl...
