Cross referencing and split screen

I assume this is an impossible feature request. When (and if) we get cross referencing there will sometimes be a need to move back and forth between two parts of the document. It would be really nice if you could split the screen so that you see the reference source and target in the two views. I don't want to mention the name of the editor(s) having this feature.

I think split screen would be useful for writing in one section while referencing another or keeping notes in view.

Maybe it could work with Mellel's outliner (using it to choose the section of text to fill the second window).
