I read through chapter 25 of the beginner's tutorial and nowhere does it say anything about applying character formatting to references. Where in that tutorial is the process of applying styles or character formatting to cross-references explained? I'm not finding it.
I'm also unable to get styles to apply to auto-titles.
[UPDATE: I found some useful info in that tutorial, but not in the section on cross-references that you recommended. There was something in the chapter on auto-titles that was helpful. I got the styles to work in a new document, but the one I was editing to begin with will not let go of the formatting it has chosen for cross-references. There must be some style override in place that is tripping me up. I'll keep at it, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.]
