Anyone else experiencing problems with fonts and font menus after upgrading to SL? E.g. Mellel's font palette tells me some fonts is (unavailable) when everything in font book appears ok. Or names of fonts are mixed up etc.
It appears that this is an OSX issue, it's not Mellel. What a mess.

Did you validate your fonts in Font Book and did you remove font duplicates? These are the main sources for font related problems in Snow Leopard (at least as far as I know…)

I finally did a clean install, and all the problems were solved. Validating fonts+removing duplicates did not help. No it's not a mellel issue, it's SL, there is discussion about this in several places, including apples support forums.
