citations question

Post by ppnkg »

Hello, just to make sure I have not missed anything - can you please confirm that Mellel cannot produce automatically an author (date) (e.g. "Wilson (1996) argues...") citation? (I am currently typing the authors name then use % to produce an enclosed date)

thank you

Thanks for your silence which prompted me to look more carefully.

You can, of course, do this by using {^}, not {!}. So (^Wilson, 1986} will produce Wilson (1986) in the final document.

Perhaps this could be added to the Mellel guide, there is no mention of this. I had to look up the answer in the Bookends manual.
