Mellel 3.0.1 is here.

The problem with the update server has been fixed. Choose Mellel->Check for updates to update your Mellel to 3.0.1

I have both a MBP and iMac, on which I have loaded Mellel. However, in the next month or two I will be sending the MBP to our son and his family. Both machines have the downloaded version from your web site. But with the pending change, I wonder if I should purchase Mellel through the MAS and that way they will be separate accounts.

Any thoughts?

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking which purchasing option is better (app store or direct)? What do you mean by "separate accounts"?

I have always purchased directly from your site. But with my son and family (living 2400 miles away), they will need their own installation. My thought is to leave the one on the MBP (which I have used when traveling), and which I will transfer to him. Then buy a separate copy for the iMac, and do so through the MAS.

It seems that the MAS is going dictating what and when something gets updated.

The problem with MAS is that updates are more slow (10 days and counting, and still no news of the 3.0.1 update in MAS).
