empty mention bug still not fixed?

Is the empty mention bug really not fixed yet?
The issue appears if you have a mention set up in your header, but there is no content for the mention to refer to. The mention then displays <#???#> instead of nothing or hidden text. This scenario is quite common if you have for example a mention on the even pages referring to the text’s current main section, and another mention on the odd page that refers to the current subchapter. If you have a couple pages at the beginning before the first subchapter starts, then the subchapter mention will have nothing to refer to until you reach that section.
(And yes, I am – finally! – starting to embark on my next book project. So nice to set up a style of your own after struggling with countless journal requirements…)
