Horizontal Line at Bottom of Header?

How do insert a horizontal line at the bottom of the header? I don't find an easy way for that. It seems like inserting a one-row-table might do the trick, but this seems rather clunky to me. I am sure there is a better way for this rather standard formatting requirement.

I type Shift + "Low Line" repeatedly until it looks like a long, horizontal line. The "Low Line" is the third key from right in the first row (that's the row where the numbers are) on the ABC-Extended keyboard.

I forgot to mention that I insert that line into Typinator. From then on, I only need to type the abbreviation "li" (for 'line'), and I have the full line instantly in the header.

The table options is one way to go, but a bit clunky as you said.

You can also add a row to the header/footer, then add an Overline using the Character palette. Change the text filling to None for that line and finally change the baseline shift (also in the Character palette) to position is properly relative to the header and other text elements you have in it.
