Big Sur - is it OK to upgrade

Post by Amontillado »

Mellel seems to work fine, but that's not really a scientific analysis. Did I screw up and upgrade too quickly?

I've got both a fresh backup mirror and Time Machine runs all the time. I can retreat if I need.

Yep....I upgraded to Big Sur several days ago and can confirm that Mellel works just fine with no problems.
Then again, I also had backups so if it did bomb I could revert back. Fortunately that did not have to happen

Do we have an ETA on the universal binary?

If you need equations in your documents, then both Catalina and Big Sur are problems. MathType is supposed to be developing a version that will work, but that is not promised until sometime in 2021.
