LS.

I would like to share certain layouts with people I work with, what would be the best method to share a style set or a template with others?

Style sets are stored as files with the suffix .sset in
Library/Application Support/Mellel 5/Style Sets

Custom templates are stored as files with the suffix .mtem
in Library/Application Support/Mellel 5/Templates/My Templates

So you should be able to make style sets and templates available on other machines by making copies of these files and putting them in the relevant application support folders. It would be important to make sure you don’t inadvertently styles sets or templates already in use on the other machine.

I can’t find any documentation on this, and I’m not in a position to test it myself, so proceed with caution.

I've discovered a mistake in my previous post. Mellel's templates, style sets etc. are kept in the user's Application Support folder, not the System's. So to copy such items from one machine to another, you need to look not in
Library/Application Support/Mellel 5
but in
~/Library/Application Support/Mellel 5
where the ~ (tilde) stands for the user.
You can locate this folder by using the Finder's Go menu and typing the pathname as I just gave it, tilde and all. Sorry for any confusion.
