Autofill Fields

Is there a feature that will allow for a auto-update field, aside from page numbering. Specifically, editors require a word count on the title page and up to now I manually enter the number, however I have failed to update this and disqualified (too short or too long etc.) I use the page numbering function, which is fine, but printed documents, (articles, stories, novels etc) require a word count.
I know it's in the stats menu, but it can't be used as a function fill, or as MS Word titles it, content control.

Any ideas? A script or text file I'm missing?

No, you're not missing anything. That feature is not present.

It should be fairly easy to implement though, so I would recommend to send a feature request to the Redlers.
