Inserting citations from Bookends

Hi, everyone.

Since installing Mellel 5, I have to appeal once again for help with this. I open up the 'Insert Citation' dialog box with the keystroke CMD+CTRL+Y, so as to input the page number, BUT hitting OK no longer seems to deliver the citation into the Mellel document as it once did.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I have Mellel 5 and Bookends and can't duplicate the problem.

In the Bookends preferences, do you have Mellel 5 selected? That option is called 'word processor' in the general category in Bookends' preferences. If that's set to a now-missing Mellel 4, maybe that's the problem.

Might be worth a look, anyway.

Good luck! (Darke & Freedman, 1997, p. 25)

Yeah, I know, looks snarky, but figured I'd show what I got. Seriously, good luck. No snark-ness intended.

Forgot - there is also a bibliography setting in Mellel's preferences - mine gives the options of Bookends and Sente.

Make sure Bookends is allowed to talk to Mellel. See the fourth last post in this thread:

Curious - under Accessiblity I see Bookends but it is not allowed to control my computer.

But command-Y/control-command-Y work. I have to have Bookends open, otherwise command-Y just gets a disappointed beep.

Interesting.

Thank you, Amontillado! The solution was indeed the Bookends - Preferences suggestion.

Much appreciated.
