well, the title of the post is quite clear: is there a simple and quick way to index all the words of a text? Thanks Etienne

As far as I can see, no. However, you can do this automatically in Nisus. The program generates a word list and/or frequency list, and you can index your file in one fell swoop based on the word list. Before you insert the index, you can edit the list to your heart's liking and exclude words you don't want. Nisus also automatically skips common words, such as and, or, for, by, etc. which is quite helpful; but if you want to include them in the index, you can do that too…is there a simple and quick way to index all the words of a text?
