Good day,
My simple feature request would be to allow Mellel a certain font/ font-size default from start-up.
It's weary to always start with "Times New Roman" size 12 and then to manually change to another font.
Please!
Thank you,
Omar K N

Re: Simple feature request: Font default
To change this behaviour, you will have to redefine the character (and maybe also paragraph) styles that you use. If you define some other font as the font which is used in your standard character style, all new documents using that character style should display the font that you have selected. You can change these style if you select the following in the menu bar:
Style Set > Edit style sets …
(or you hit command-shift-A)
You can also completely change the default template on which your new documents are based. To do that, you should make all the changes that you want and then you go to the menu bar and select:
File > Save As Template …
You should save this template somewhere in Mellel’s standard template folder, which is located in your user folder’s library:
~/Library/Application Support/Mellel/Templates.
After you have created/changed this template, you have to select it as your default template. To do that go to:
Mellel > Preferences …
(or hit the standard Mac OS shortcut for preferences: command+,)
In the second section (Open & Save) you can then select the new template and set it as the default template.
