Indent pragraphs

Post by raymond »

Hello,

I have a document of 60 pages, in Hebrew, where I wrote without making any indent for the start of each paragraph.

I wish to change all paragraphs to have an indent in each of them.

Which is the shortest and the most efficient way to do this?

TIA

I suppose that all your 60 pages are written in the same paragraph-style. Just change that style to give indentation at the beginning of each paragraph.

Find out what paragraph style all of what you have typed has used. It might be normal or body text or main text (Base) or something like that.
Now go to the Paragraph styles Tab, select that style (it is probably already selected).
Now hit the little pencil button (3rd from top on right).
Then at the bottom of the resulting window, you can adjust the tabs and so on in the ruler above the "The quick brown fox..." text.
Then press save.

Sorry, I am less optimistic now.
I have followed your instructions but the outcome gave me nothing.
I try to add a screen picture of my configurations, hoping that I missed nothing.

In that dialog you just change the tab positions, not the indent. Check it out here:

PS: Jon, would it be possible for you to re-activate the upload of image attachments to the forum (jpg, png and gif formats)? That would make things much easier for us. :D

Heh, that's true, that only worked in Mellel, right? Oh well, it would be useful here too, though… but if this poses too many problems we can certainly work around it… :)
