I'm having issues with the ToC. I've reached out to tech support, so I won't belabor the issue here.
But is there a way to insert dot leaders independently of the automatic ToC generation? Like you used to be able to do in WordPerfect by hitting alt-F4 twice? (footnote: I mean, we all remember idkfa, right?)
After the ToC is generate, I could fix the issues if I could create dot leaders (called tab leaders in the manual).

You can certainly set tabs with dot leaders directly if you see fit. Double clicking on the tab well or right clicking on the ruler brings up an Add Tab Stops box that lets you set a Tab lead character.

The dots, dashes etc. are part of the tab stop attributes. You can can change them by selecting the tab stop on the ruler and then choosing the tab lead in the paragraph palette "Lead" popup menu under "Tab".
