crossreferences

Post by Bulow »

I have come across a curious problem which I do not understand: I want to refer back to a footnote 7 in my manuscript, so I put a bookmark there, and in note 57 I insert a crossreference back to this note. In the little window, I can see that it is well understood which note I want, but when I insert it the reference becomes 'note 5'. Normally the crossrefs work impeccably, and I do not understand this. Is it because there is a * note in another note-stream at the beginning? At a pinch, if this is (wrongly) counted, the reference should come out as 8, but subtracting two makes no sense at all.
Can anyone help?
