So I want to create a 6x9 book. The publisher said that the final PDF file that I send, have the size of 6.25" x 9.25" for trimming.
So where in Mellel (I haven't found it yet), where you set up the custom page file?? Or am I missing something?

1. File > Page Setup…
2. Then, from the Paper Size drop-down menu, choose "Manage Custom Sizes…".
3. Create a new 6x9 paper size by clicking on the + sign, and for the Paper Size enter the correct width and height. The numbers you need to enter here may depend on the measurement units (metric, US, UK) your computer has been given in the System Preferences > Language & Region > Advanced.
For those who use the metric unit, the numbers are 914,4 mm for the width and 1371,6 mm for the height.

Re: Custom Page Size - Totally Confused
By the way, I used this trick to create a 150 x 150 cm sign -- the printer needed to receive the pdf in actual size -- I set the Mellel page view at 25%ç Worked beautifully.
Re: Custom Page Size - Totally Confused
My sign is a meter and a half square (5 feet by 5 feet)
I defined a custom page size of 150 by 150 cm and was able to view it on Mellel by reducing the display window to 25%.
Export/rdf gave me a file measuring 1.5 m square which is what the printer required.
