Hello! I'm trying to create a document where only portions have columns, and I have not guess-and-checked my way into the answer.

Is there a way to do this? Thank you!

This got my curiosity. The trick is to insert a section break. After the break, use the section tab in the palettes to choose how many columns you want. When you want to go back to a normal single column page, insert another section break.

You can either manually insert column breaks or you can enable the balanced columns option in the section style.

You can also insert page style breaks. Setting the section style for a page style break affects all the pages in the page range bracketed by page style breaks (or begin and end of document).
