I wonder if there are any updates - in-text citations are pretty standard now in some environments.

Let's say we have a reference:
Lenin, 1964, #1234565
We can get this after scanning:
instead but we want…as Lenin (Lenin 1964) argues,…
And here is the info needed for a fix:…as Lenin (1964) argues,…
The % suppresses the author's name (as desired) but that means we have to type it in... or else we getto suppress the name in a rendered citation you have to enter a % in front of the citation. I.e. you double-click the citation and then you put the % in front of the non-rendered citation in the upper box – this should look something like this
%Lenin, 1964, #1234565
…as (1964) argues,…
This format is precisely what \citet{Lenin1984} achieves. The name of the author is inserted into the body of the text, and the date in parens follows. This means I have to add the author's name manually. Hehe, incredibly, some things were easier to do with latex! I could bring it up as an issue for future improvements as this has to do with mellel's formatting.
So we don't have to type the name (as we do if we use %)
I am using Bookends + Mellel - I wonder if anyone has a solution to this?
with thanks
