pasting code into Mellel

One way to paste syntax-highlighted code in to Mellel:
Copy from VS Code (I know, I know - I am an emacs+evil-mode person myself, but humour me)
Past into MS Word
Do font/font-size adjustments there (preserves the syntax highlighting)
copy that
paste into Mellel
(going straight from VS Code to Mellel preserves the highlighting, but changing the Char style removes the colouring)
