I have a template which includes a header with a colored background, text and an image. The header is repeated on every page. In the past I could click on the header and make edits to the text and image. Once I clicked outside the header I would move on to other things. Each instance of the header would be updated. However, today I clicked inside the header and was able to edit the text but when I clicked outside the header area it reverted back to the pre-edit state. When I click inside the header area again the edits appear then again revert when I click outside the header area. Some edits stick while others do not. It does not matter whether I save after an edit. This never happened before. The template was created using an earlier version of Mellel. I do not recall how far back (probably at least three versions back). This may be the first time using the template since upgrading Mellel to 5.1.3 but the previous version handled the template without issues. The version two or three back did have an issue where colors changed when opened in a newer version but nothing like this being described here now. After updating to 5.2.4 r6 I opened the template and the problem was not resolved.

I believe this is a bug that we were not able to reproduce so far, we'll investigate but in the meanwhile please try the following as a workaround (and let us know if it worked):
Instead of clicking outside the header/footer after editing, try pressing the blue checkmark button below the header, it should make the changes apply without issue.

Eventually we were able to reproduce the issue and a fix is available in Mellel 5.1.5
