I typically work across two devices: Mac mini and MacBook Air. Latest version of Mellel is installed on both. I also sync Desktop and Documents folders through iCloud. So the documents are always in sync across devices.
My question is about styles and style sets. When I make a change to a style on one device, that change is reflected on the other device. This is as it should be since I'm working on the same/synced document in my Documents folder. Also, if I add a style in a document on one device, it is reflect in the same/synced document on the other device.
However, it seems like at least two aspects of Style Sets are not synced. I am working with a Style Set that is global. I have changed the order of styles, for example in the Character Styles palette by dragging (in the Edit Styles dialog). That is not reflected in the document across devices.
I have also (and more important for me) added/changed the shortcut keys for some character and paragraph styles, in the Edit Styles dialog. Those changes do not appear in the document on the other device.
I suspect this is partly because I'm not fully understanding how Style Sets work across devices.
As long as styles sync across the same/synced document across devices I'm good. But I'd really like the shortcut keys to also sync. Or do I have to set things like this independently?
I hope this all makes sense. THANKS!
